While the new Brandt Brauer Frick album Miami sees the Berlin trio once again using instruments most associated with classical music (piano, strings, timpani) to create dance music, it also sees the group stepping away from the „acoustic techno“ approach of some previous work. On the first single „Plastic Like Your Mother,“ BBF collaborate with Om’Mas Keith (founding member of Sa-Ra Creative Partners and co-producer of Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange) for a dark and frenetic track that defies categorization.
