Vor mehr als sieben Jahren, 2 Wochen nach dem Tod von James Brown hat Florian Keller ein viereinhalb Stunden langes Set zu Ehren des Godfathers in der Hamburger Betalounge gespielt. Ich war damals zu Gast und hatte auch darüber gebloggt.

This is a 4 and a half hours marathon James Brown Tribute mix I did live at Betalounge.com the week the Godfather passed away in 2006.
Instead of doing a plain „best of“ kind of thing I tried to focus on the big (still underfocussed) musical variety of Mr. Brown’s productions spanning from from Northern Soul to Bossa Nova to Psychedelic Rock, sprinkled in with some cover-versions (Hebrew Sex Machine, Moog & Reggae versions) songs about James Brown etc. slowly leading into that tunes that cannot be ignored.
