Am vergangenen Freitag hat William Fitzsimmons seine neue Single „Love Will Tear Us Apart“ veröffentlicht. Dabei handelt es sich natürlich um ein Cover von Jay Divisionund einem der besten Lieder aller Zeiten. William Fitzsimmons sagt über sein gelungenes Cover:
„I’ve always thought of Joy Divison’s “Love Will Tear Us Apart” as one of the most elegant, perfectly boiled down songs about the horrific pain that can only come from watching a once wonderful relationship turn distant and cold. Musically it’s so simple, but has one of the most instantly recognizable melodies ever written. You hear the first few notes and know the song right away! I thought it would be really interesting to put a “pretty spin” on the rawness of the original. It’s always been one of my favorite songs to play on my own.“
